Where to See Coverlets

Here are some museums / galleries that almost always have coverlets exhibited.  Be sure to check with the museum / gallery for information about their current exhibition and visitation times before travelling a great distance to visit.  Many museums and local historical societies have coverlets in their collections.  Some have part of their collection accessible via the internet.  Check their website.  For most historical societies you need to contact their curator and make an appointment to get a behind-the-scenes look at objects not currently on display.
